Chicken Straight From the Farm

My son-in-law’s parents have a small hobby farm outside town, and we often benefit from the beef, the eggs, or the chickens. This time it was a chicken. Not your average little chicken, mind you. No, this was the size of a small turkey. There were other differences as well. The fat was a deeper yellow colour, the meat a little darker, and the taste just a little stronger. For a city girl like me, it took some getting used to. But once I got past the different look, the taste was still yummy chicken.

The topic is quite hot on the Internet right now. What do you pay attention to while choosing what to write about?

Nice to know that “farm chicken” is a hot topic right now. I didn’t realize that. When I post, I just write about the things that happen in my area and things I’m aware of. Sometimes, I’ll get a question from one of my readers and that will often be a topic for discussion as well.
