That means you have only a couple of sentences to get your point across. Photos and links to websites can also be included.
Twitter is great for getting to know interesting people all over the world. You can search for people to follow according to interests, name, or location. Businesses use Twitter for customer support. Customers use Twitter to see how others feel about a product or a business. The possiblities are endless it seems.
Now what is a tweetup? A tweetup is a local meeting, or meetup, of some of the people in your neighbourhood who use Twitter. So you can get to know people online, then meet them in person as well. It can be a lot of fun.
Most tweetups meet in local restaurants. My first tweetup was a ladies only lunch. Last night, I was at a tweetup with a number of different people, male and female, of all ages and backgrounds. Because Twitter is a more recent addition to our culture, the majority were younger, but everyone was welcomed equally. From a local politician, to a photographer, to an antique dealer – the attendees were an interesting bunch.
