The Rideau Canal Skateway is the perfect place to walk, sled, or skate. This frozen waterway is in the very heart of the nation’s capital. During the Winterlude, the skateway is where you can find the Winterlude Triathalon, the Bedzzz Annual Bed Race, skating demonstrations workshops, and more. The Rogers Crystal Garden located at Confederation Park is the home of the world’s best
carvers who meet once a year to create ice sculptures that will leave you breathless.

Last year 35 carvers from 10 different countries battled it out to sculpt the best piece of art they could.

The Sunlife Snowflake Kingdom is found in Jacques-Cartier Park. Here families can enjoy sliding on more than thirty feet of snow slides in the largest snow playground on the continent.

Snowflake Kingdom hosts a wide variety of shows, performances and cooperative games, as well as the National Snow Sculpture Competition. This is also the home of the mascots Ice Hog family.

You will also want to experience the many mouth watering tastes of Canada’s capital. There are many flavors to discover with fine dining, wine pairings, and other culinary delights.
